"We love visiting Chattanooga! We normally stay on Lookout Mountain at a B&B. We decided to stay downtown and chose The Read Hotel and it did not disappoint! Wonderful staff, swanky decor and lots of history rolled into one. We booked for 2 nights and received a special perk they were advertising. We enjoyed going to the bar and billiards at the hotel. Emily, the server there is wonderful! We dined at Bridgeman's Chophouse and the staff and food there..."

"I booked my stay solely based on the first picture that popped up from their google pages. That lobby looked so cool, and in person it’s something else!! From valet, to front desk, and even house keeping, everyone was so polite and friendly. Taking our requesting and going above to make sure our stay was the best and it was! Definitely coming back when I’m in the area!! Also if you’re going to get breakfast get the waffles!! I don’t..."

"Very good service. Cam in 3 hours earlier than check in time on Sunday. I knew I was early. I was just coming in to check on parking for when I do come in. The gentleman at the front desk allowed me to check in early for convenience. When I came back later in evening I ate at the bar lounge they have. Service was outstanding. had the flatbread. Food was great. Looking girward to staying 3 more nights."

"The Read House is a wonderful place to stay! The history and aesthetic of the hotel are fascinating and fun, and plenty reason alone to stay here, but the quality of the service, and the cheerfulness and hospitality of the staff, are even more reason to choose the Read House as your place to stay in Chattanooga. Upon check-in, we were immediately made to feel welcome and at home in their establishment, and every interaction we had with the staff..."

"Our group of around 200 had an exceptional experience at The Read House Hotel! From the prompt valet service and warm, tip-of-the-hat welcome to the stunning historic facility filled with time-appropriate relics, this venue is absolutely beautiful. From the very first email to final billing, the planning staff was fantastic—responsive, flexible, and committed to making sure every detail was perfect. Our pre-conference meeting addressed all questions, and their ability to adjust as meetings progressed faster or slower than expected was..."

"This was a fantastic find. We decided to try something different than a big chain hotel when we were passing through Chattanooga. WOW! The place is really big and the vibe was cool. From John at the front door to the flapper in the billiards area, you felt like you were transported back in time to the 1920’s. Great experience. Ask for the tour from John to room 311. The only critique I have is the shower head. For a..."

"My husband and I stayed in the historic section of the Read house. The room we stayed in had a king size bed and suite. Everything was clean and lovely. We really enjoyed our stay very much. The whole experience was excellent. We love the walking distance from Easy Bistro and St. John’s. The bar in the hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean and renovated and well kept."
